The Opportunity
A forward-thinking and growing accountancy practice in Chester City is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their expanding team.
This is a varied and client-facing role, offering the opportunity to work closely with managers and directors while supporting a diverse portfolio of clients. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounts and tax services, alongside mentoring junior team members.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and build strong relationships with a portfolio of clients
Prepare and review year-end accounts and financial statements
Calculate corporation tax and personal tax liabilities
Provide practical tax planning advice to clients
Work closely with managers and other departments to deliver a high standard of service
Support and improve client accounting processes
Lead, coach and develop junior staff and trainees
Gain a strong understanding of client businesses to deliver a high-quality service
Skills & Experience Required
ACA / ACCA qualified with practice experience
Experience working with owner-managed businesses
Strong technical knowledge across accounts and tax
Familiarity with accounting software (CCH experience desirable)
Excellent communication skills with a client-focused approach
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
