Practice Senior Accountant - Dudley, West Midlands
Location: Dudley, West Midlands
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Contract: Full time, On site
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a growing accountancy practice as a Senior Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is ideal for a Qualified by Experience (QBE), ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with strong general practice experience who enjoys working closely with clients and supporting senior leadership.
The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the Director and Client Managers, delivering high-quality accounting and compliance services to a varied client portfolio across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Assisting with management accounts preparation and review
Handling bookkeeping, VAT returns, and CIS submissions
Preparation of tax returns and tax computations
Managing general compliance matters with HMRC and Companies House
Acting as a front-line point of contact for clients, providing day-to-day support and guidance
Working collaboratively with Directors and Client Managers to meet deadlines and maintain high standards
About You
ACA / ACCA qualified, or Qualified by Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in an accountancy practice
Strong background in general practice accounting
Excellent communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Strong IT skills with experience using cloud accounting software, particularly Xero
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Salary £35,000 - £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
