About the Role

We’re representing a well-established and growing professional services firm with a strong presence in the North West. Due to continued expansion, they are seeking a Senior Associate to join their Liverpool office. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional to manage their own client portfolio, work closely with Partners, and play a key role within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of clients including Limited Companies, Sole Traders, Partnerships and individuals

  • Prepare statutory accounts for a range of business entities

  • Prepare corporation tax computations and corporation tax returns

  • Prepare and submit VAT returns

  • Complete bookkeeping duties for a varied client base

  • Prepare Self-Assessment tax returns for individuals and partnerships

  • Undertake company secretarial duties

  • Liaise directly with clients, providing advice and responding to queries

  • Ensure work is delivered accurately, on time, and in line with current legislation

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience within an accountancy practice

  • Strong working knowledge of accounts preparation and tax compliance

  • Experience preparing Self-Assessment tax returns

  • Proficient in Xero, QuickBooks and Sage

  • Knowledge of CCH preferred but not essential

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines

  • Confident communicator with the ability to advise clients effectively
