Senior Business Advisor – Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review complex accounts, corporation tax, VAT, and self-assessment returns

  • Support the manager in managing client assignments, resource allocation, and monitoring progress

  • Assist with client take-on, scope of work agreements, and fee negotiations

  • Develop team members through daily coaching and mentorship

  • Ensure risk management and quality control procedures are adhered to

  • Request client feedback and act promptly to improve service delivery

  • Identify opportunities to support new and existing clients and contribute to business development

  • Continually improve internal processes, including cold file quality reviews

  • Maintain an active CPD programme and drive a culture of delivery to deadlines

  • Always uphold excellent client service principles and maintain professional conduct with clients and team members

Required Experience and Skills

  • Part or Full ACCA qualified

  • Strong experience in accounting and tax compliance within practice

  • Proven ability to manage and develop teams

  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong risk management and quality control awareness

  • Proactive, collaborative, and able to meet tight deadlines
