Tax Manager – Full Time | Salary £50,000–£65,000 DOE
Overview
A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a well-established, growing and innovative business and advisory firm based in Camberley, providing high-level advice and accounting solutions to entrepreneurial and high-growth businesses.
Working within the Tax team, you will take responsibility for a broad range of taxation services, supporting both individuals and businesses. This role is crucial in meeting clients’ evolving needs and delivering sustainable, long-term value through professional tax planning and compliance.

Qualifications & Experience
CTA qualified with experience across both personal and corporate tax
Strong knowledge of:
VAT
R&D Tax Relief
Trusts
Inheritance Tax
Capital Gains Tax
Some exposure to overseas tax
STEP qualification preferred
Up-to-date knowledge of UK tax legislation
Highly IT literate with experience using a range of accounting software and the ability to adapt quickly
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Advising on a wide variety of tax areas: Personal Tax, Trusts, Inheritance Tax, CGT, VAT, R&D, P11D, Form 42, and general tax planning
Managing a portfolio of personal tax clients
Preparing complex personal tax returns and reviewing working files prepared by junior team members
Advising on overseas tax implications relating to personal taxation
Training and supporting colleagues, especially in Trust taxation
Maintaining strong knowledge of how accounting standard changes impact taxation
Liaising directly with clients to discuss planning opportunities and prepare written advisory reports
Supporting the development and growth of the tax department to win new business
Reporting directly to the partners
Updating and enhancing internal tax policies and processes
Ad hoc tax advisory work as needed
Analytical & Judgement Skills
Ability to provide commercially balanced recommendations
Strong practical judgement when assessing complex tax issues
Knowing when to escalate matters to senior leadership
Communication Skills
Confident when speaking with clients in all scenarios
Able to produce clear and concise emails, reports and presentations
Identifying key tax issues and risk areas through discussions and reviews
Leadership & Training
Capable of motivating and developing colleagues across the tax function
Strong ability to review files and identify areas for improvement
Providing guidance across all tax areas
Client Relationship Development
Building excellent working relationships with clients
Identifying opportunities to widen the service offering
Supporting business development efforts to win new clients and grow the tax portfolio
