Tax Senior
Salary – £35,000 - £65,000 depending on experience and qualifications
Hours - Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (part time hours considered)
A Top 20 firm are looking to hire a Tax Senior into their established tax team in their Kent office.
They will consider different levels and qualifications and are open to candidates looking for part time hours.
This is a mixed tax role where you will be producing advisory work for a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses and supporting the Directors of the tax team.
They are looking for individuals with initiative to develop their careers and provide a first class service to their clients in both compliance and advisory areas.
Key responsibilities of a Tax Senior will include:
- Review and support to the compliance team responsible for the preparation of personal tax returns for a range of client’s
- Review and support relating to corporation tax returns prepared by the accounts department
- Managing a varied portfolio including planning and advisory projects
- Preparation/Review of capital gains tax computations for inclusion within self-assessment returns, together with completion of 60-Day CGT Declarations to HMRC
- Preparing/Reviewing ERS and EMI returns
- Review of forms P11D & P11D(b) and PSA calculations
- Ad hoc work relating to capital tax reporting, inheritance tax and Estate work
- Liaising directly with HMRC in relation to enquiries and investigations
- Supporting and mentoring the more junior members of the team.
About you:
- ATT qualified or CTA qualified
- 5 years’ tax and/or accounting experience within an accountancy practice
- Good tax knowledge
- Experience with MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and Outlook and CCH accountancy software would be advantageous
- Strong organisation skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Motivated team player

Holiday – 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays), plus 2 days over the Christmas/New Year period set by the firm, plus where your birthday falls on a working day, an additional day for this too.
