Role Overview – Tax Senior
The Tax Senior will provide both compliance and advisory support across a broad client base. Key responsibilities include:
Reviewing and supporting the compliance team preparing personal tax returns
Reviewing corporation tax returns prepared by the accounts team
Managing a varied portfolio of clients, including planning and advisory projects
Preparing/reviewing capital gains tax computations and 60-Day CGT Declarations to HMRC
Preparing/reviewing ERS and EMI returns, forms P11D & P11D(b), and PSA calculations
Handling ad hoc work relating to capital tax reporting, inheritance tax, and estate planning
Liaising directly with HMRC regarding enquiries and investigations
Supporting and mentoring junior team members
Candidate Requirements
ATT qualified or CTA qualified
Minimum 5 years’ tax and/or accounting experience within an accountancy practice
Strong tax knowledge and problem-solving skills
Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and CCH accountancy software advantageous
Strong organisation skills and ability to meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
