Tax Senior
Location: Coventry, West Midlands
Salary: £35,000 - £45,000
Contract: Full Time, Flexible working hours
An independent chartered accountancy practice is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tax Senior to join the team in Coventry.
The Role:
As a Tax Senior, you will be involved in a variety of projects including corporate reorganisations, incorporations, employee share schemes, and other tax planning assignments. You will work closely with colleagues and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in full compliance with current legislation and professional standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the planning and delivery of tax projects.
- Drafting instructions, HMRC filings, and clearance applications.
- Liaising with clients, solicitors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Providing accurate financial and tax advice, escalating complex matters when appropriate.
- Maintaining strong client relationships through clear and professional communication.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant tax legislation and ethical standards.
- Identifying opportunities for tax efficiencies and process improvements.
The Ideal Candidate:
- A solid understanding of key UK tax areas (Corporation Tax, Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Stamp Taxes, Inheritance Tax, Employment Taxes etc.).
- ACCA/ACA, ATT/CTA, or equivalent qualification
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical, process-driven approach.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- The ability to manage deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- A proactive mindset with a keen attitude to learning and professional development.
