Overview
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Senior to join their dynamic team near Keighley.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of tax regulations and financial accounting principles, with a strong ability to analyse complex financial data. This role is pivotal in ensuring compliance with tax laws while providing strategic financial planning and advice to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Provide expert advice on tax planning strategies to optimise clients’ financial positions.
- Analyse financial statements and reports to identify tax-saving opportunities.
- Deal with HMRC enquiry letters as and when they arise.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate tax strategies into overall business plans.
- Stay updated on changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on clients.
- Mentor and develop junior staff members within the tax department.
- Liaise with HMRC, clients and regulatory bodies as necessary.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a senior tax management role or similar position.
- Strong knowledge of tax legislation.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
- A relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
