Trainee Accountant

Salary: £20,000 - £24,000

Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing accounts to draft stage using both manual and computerised client records
Acquire foundational skills in bookkeeping and accountancy under supervision
Support colleagues across a range of client assignments, gaining exposure to different business types and industries
Accurately record financial data and maintain client documentation
Communicate effectively with team members and, where appropriate, clients
Ensure all work complies with internal quality standards and relevant regulatory requirements
Additional Responsibilities
Work towards a recognised professional accounting qualification (typically AAT or ACCA) following successful completion of a probationary period
Participate in regular internal training sessions and continuous professional development activities
Contribute to a culture of accuracy, reliability, and client-focused service
Requirements
A level passes and a good spread of GCSEs, including Maths and English at grade 5 (or equivalent)
Confident with numbers and problem-solving
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Logical and analytical approach to work
Proficient in spoken and written English
