Employment Type: Full-time (between 7:30am and 6:30pm) – part-time considered
Weekends: 1 in 5 weekends (shared between nurses)
On-Call: 1 in 8 weeknights (theatre-based)
Salary: £29,000 – £32,000 DOE


About the Role

We are representing an independent specialist small animal referral hospital in Linton that is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their dedicated ward-based nursing team, focusing on neurology and inpatient care.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced RVN who is passionate about advanced nursing and patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary environment. You’ll play an integral role in supporting complex neurological cases and ensuring the highest standard of care throughout the patient journey.

The role involves a mixture of inpatient care and ward duties within the neurology service, working alongside specialists across surgery, medicine, oncology, dermatology, and anaesthesia.


Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality inpatient and ward-based nursing care

  • Supporting neurological and post-surgical patients through recovery

  • Liaising with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure gold-standard care

  • Participating in the weekend and on-call rotas (1 in 5 weekends, 1 in 8 weeknights – theatre-based)

  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and upholding best practice standards


About You

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse (essential)

  • Confident in inpatient and ward-based nursing care

  • Interest or experience in neurology, surgery, or referral nursing advantageous

  • Strong teamwork, communication, and organisational skills

  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach
