Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) – Independent Practice – Oxfordshire

Location: Oxfordshire
Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time hours available
Weekends: Share of Saturday rota (8am–1:45pm)
Out-of-Hours: Rota to be confirmed
Salary: £28,000 - £32,000 Competitive, dependent on experience

 


About the Role

We are representing a respected independent mixed practice located in the Oxfordshire countryside, currently seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their well-established small animal team.

About the Practice

This is a proud to provide outstanding veterinary care across all disciplines, supported by state-of-the-art facilities and a highly experienced team. The practice includes:

  • 19 dedicated small animal vets with a variety of specialisms

  • 26 experienced veterinary nurses and support staff

  • Advanced diagnostic and surgical suites for soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures

  • Fully equipped in-house laboratory and 24-hour hospitalisation facilities

This independent practice is known for its collaborative culture, commitment to clinical development, and focus on delivering high-quality, compassionate care to every patient.


Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering exceptional inpatient and outpatient nursing care

  • Assisting with anaesthesia, surgery, and recovery

  • Supporting consultations and ensuring excellent client communication

  • Participating in the weekend and OOH rota as required

  • Contributing to the team’s continued clinical excellence and training


About You

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse (essential)

  • Confident across all areas of small animal nursing

  • Team player with a positive, proactive attitude

  • Passionate about patient care and client service

  • Flexible to cover shared rota responsibilities
