Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) – Independent Practice – East Malling

Location: East Malling
Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time considered
Weekends: Shared weekend rota between the nursing team
Salary: £29,000- £32,000, dependent on experience


About the Role

We are representing a modern and expanding independent veterinary practice in East Malling that is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse looking to work in a supportive environment with access to advanced facilities and a varied caseload. Both full-time and part-time applications are welcome, with a shared weekend rota in place across the nursing team.


About the Practice

This brand-new East Malling clinic is part of a wider, well-established group comprising:

  • 20 Veterinary Surgeons

  • 32 Veterinary Nurses

  • 6 Receptionists

The main hospital offers access to a broad range of advanced services and facilities, including:

  • CT imaging

  • Digital radiography

  • Orthopaedic theatre

  • Hydrotherapy

  • Grooming services

Nurses are encouraged to develop their clinical interests while working alongside an experienced and supportive multidisciplinary team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Providing inpatient and outpatient nursing care

  • Supporting anaesthesia, surgery, and patient monitoring

  • Running diagnostic tests and maintaining accurate clinical records

  • Conducting nurse consultations and client education

  • Participating in the shared weekend rota

  • Working collaboratively within a large, skilled nursing team


About You

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse (essential)

  • Confident across all areas of small animal nursing

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Compassionate, professional, and proactive

  • Comfortable working within a busy and dynamic hospital setting
