Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Practice – Glasgow

Employment Type: Full-time (4-day working week)
Hours: Effectively full-time over 4 days, with flexibility available for the right candidate
Weekends: 1 in 4 Saturday mornings (9:00am–12:15pm)
Salary: £45,000 - £65,000

About the Role

We are working with a well-established independent veterinary practice in Glasgow seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their welcoming and experienced team.

This role is effectively full-time, structured around a 4-day working week to support a healthy work–life balance. For the right candidate, there is flexibility to consider alternative working patterns, such as five shorter days.

The practice places genuine emphasis on team wellbeing, collaboration, and job satisfaction, believing that a positive and fulfilled team delivers the highest standards of care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing high-quality veterinary care across consultations and routine surgery

  • Developing strong client relationships and ensuring continuity of care

  • Working collaboratively with vets, RVNs, and support staff

  • Maintaining excellent clinical and welfare standards

About You

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

  • Confident in general practice consultations and routine surgery

  • A team-oriented, communicative approach

  • Compassionate and client-focused

  • Open to flexible working arrangements
