Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive physical examinations and medical evaluations for companion animals
Diagnose and treat illnesses, injuries, and chronic medical conditions
Perform soft tissue surgery and dental procedures
Utilize diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing, and medical equipment to support patient care
Educate clients on preventative care, nutrition, and long-term health management
Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and hospital staff to ensure efficient patient care
Foster strong relationships with clients and support the human-animal bond
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a compassionate and collaborative veterinarian who values strong client communication and high-quality veterinary medicine.
Qualifications include:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) from an accredited veterinary school
Active veterinary license in Iowa or eligibility for licensure
DEA license or eligibility to obtain
