Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive physical examinations on companion animals
Diagnose and treat medical conditions, illnesses, and injuries
Utilize diagnostic equipment and laboratory testing to evaluate patient health
Perform soft tissue surgery and dental procedures
Develop and implement treatment and preventative care plans
Educate pet owners on nutrition, wellness, and long-term health management
Provide compassionate end-of-life care and client counseling
Maintain accurate patient records and medical documentation
Ensure compliance with veterinary medical standards, ethics, and regulatory requirements
Candidate Profile

Qualifications include:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) from an AVMA-accredited institution
Eligibility for or active veterinary license in Iowa
Eligibility to obtain DEA licensure

Ability to lift animals and equipment with assistance when necessary
