Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive physical examinations and diagnostic work-ups for companion animals
Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient
Perform surgical procedures and dental treatments as part of routine patient care
Communicate clearly with clients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care
Maintain detailed and accurate patient medical records
Prescribe medications and follow appropriate pharmaceutical and controlled substance protocols
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure efficient hospital operations
Participate in daily case discussions and contribute to maintaining high medical standards
Support practice management initiatives and ongoing hospital improvements
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a compassionate veterinarian who values teamwork, clinical excellence, and strong client relationships.
Qualifications include:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution
Active veterinary license or eligibility for licensure in Louisiana
DEA registration or ability to obtain
At least 1 year of veterinary clinical experience
Strong diagnostic, surgical, and dental skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
