Responsibilities
Provide emergency medical and surgical care to companion animals
Triage and stabilize critical patients efficiently
Perform emergency procedures, diagnostics, and treatments with excellence
Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners
Collaborate with a highly skilled team of technicians and veterinarians
Participate in mentorship, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives
Maintain accurate medical records and follow hospital protocols
Support hospital operations while prioritizing patient-centered care
Candidate Profile
DVM or equivalent, licensed and in good standing in California
Experience in emergency medicine preferred, but motivated new-to-ER veterinarians are welcome
Ability to work effectively under pressure with strong decision-making skills
Excellent client communication and teamwork abilities
Comfortable with overnight shifts (10–12 hours) in a 24/7 hospital
