About the Role
They are seeking a full-time Emergency Veterinarian to join a state-of-the-art emergency and specialty hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. Doctors in this role will manage a variety of emergency cases, working alongside specialty teams in Internal Medicine, Ophthalmology, and other specialties. Flexible scheduling is offered, and both full-time and part-time candidates are considered.

Responsibilities
Provide emergency care for small animals in a high-volume, 24/7 hospital setting
Collaborate with specialty teams for multidisciplinary case management
Mentor and support other clinicians and hospital staff as appropriate
Maintain accurate medical records and communicate treatment plans effectively
Contribute to the positive, collaborative hospital culture
Candidate Profile
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from an accredited university or equivalent
Licensed or eligible for licensure in Alabama
Experienced in emergency medicine; strong triage, surgical, and diagnostic skills
Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills
Committed to lifelong learning and professional development
Empathetic, resilient, and able to thrive in a high-paced environment
