Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency and critical care treatment for companion animals

  • Perform emergency diagnostics and develop treatment plans

  • Stabilize and manage urgent and life-threatening cases

  • Perform emergency surgical procedures as needed

  • Utilize diagnostic equipment including ultrasound, digital radiography, and in-house laboratory testing

  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners during critical situations

  • Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation

  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver efficient emergency care

Candidate Profile

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) from an accredited university

  • Eligible for veterinary licensure in Arkansas

  • Ability to obtain DEA registration and USDA accreditation

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment

  • Team-oriented mindset with a compassionate approach to patient care
