Responsibilities
Examine and treat companion animals to detect and manage illnesses or injuries
Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results
Advise clients on preventative care, nutrition, and treatment options
Perform surgery and prescribe medications as needed
Provide guidance on end-of-life care for pets
Maintain accurate medical records
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, policies, and regulations
Mentor and support junior veterinarians and staff
Candidate Profile
DVM/VMD from an accredited AVMA institution
Valid state licensure and eligibility for DEA/BNDD
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Professional, courteous, and collaborative with staff and clients
Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds independently; over 25 pounds with assistance
Experienced in surgical, dental, and diagnostic procedures
Adaptable, empathetic, and committed to team development
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $120,000–$140,000/year (negotiable based on experience)
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $50,000
