Accounts Assistant/Payroll Administrator 

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time, Permanent 
Salary: From £22,000 per year 
Location: Gresford, Wrexham  

About  
An accountancy firm is seeking an experienced individual to join their team in a varied role covering payroll, VAT, and general bookkeeping duties. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of accounting experience and be comfortable working with clients from a range of industries. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and good working knowledge of cloud-based accounting systems. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Processing weekly and monthly payroll for a variety of clients 
  • Preparing VAT returns for Limited Companies and Sole Traders 
  • Bookkeeping and preparation of management accounts 
  • Reconciling bank accounts and preparing accounts to trial balance stage 
  • Working with various cloud-based accounting systems including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and payroll software 

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounting role (essential) 
  • Strong interpersonal and client communication skills 
  • High attention to detail 
  • Proficiency in multiple accounting platforms (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, etc.)
