Accounts Assistant/Payroll Administrator

An accountancy firm is seeking an experienced individual to join their team in a varied role covering payroll, VAT, and general bookkeeping duties. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of accounting experience and be comfortable working with clients from a range of industries. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and good working knowledge of cloud-based accounting systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing weekly and monthly payroll for a variety of clients
- Preparing VAT returns for Limited Companies and Sole Traders
- Bookkeeping and preparation of management accounts
- Reconciling bank accounts and preparing accounts to trial balance stage
- Working with various cloud-based accounting systems including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, and payroll software
Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in an accounting role (essential)
- Strong interpersonal and client communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in multiple accounting platforms (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, etc.)
