About the Role
An established accountancy firm in Chester is seeking an Accounts Semi-Senior to join its expanding team. This role is ideal for a part-qualified accountant (AAT / ACA / ACCA) looking to strengthen their technical skills while working closely with clients and senior professionals.
You will take responsibility for delivering high-quality accounting services, including year-end accounts, tax computations, management accounts, and VAT returns, while supporting junior team members and maintaining excellent client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of clients, preparing year-end accounts and related tax computations
Ensure timely submissions to HMRC and Companies House
Prepare management accounts and submit VAT returns where applicable
Support and mentor junior team members, providing guidance as required
Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering proactive advice
Handle complex accounting queries and ensure regulatory compliance
Collaborate with other teams to deliver comprehensive client solutions
Skills & Experience
AAT / ACA / ACCA part-qualified (or equivalent)
Experience working within an accountancy practice
Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards and regulations
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality service
