We’re representing a modern, award-winning independent accountancy firm based in Rushden, Northamptonshire. With a growing team and a reputation for people-first values, the firm provides proactive advisory and compliance services to a diverse client portfolio. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an ambitious Accounts Senior to join their collaborative team. This is a fantastic opportunity offering hybrid working, progression to senior management, and potential equity partnership for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare Limited Company statutory accounts for manager/partner review to budget
Prepare and review sole trader and partnership accounts to budget
Prepare and review management accounts and tax returns (personal and corporate)
Assist with audit fieldwork alongside audit managers
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, delivering excellent service
Support, mentor, and review work of junior trainees as they progress
Contribute to proactive client advisory work and business support
Gradually take ownership of a client portfolio as progression develops
Ideal Candidate Profile
ACA / ACCA part-qualified, fully qualified, or qualified by experience
Previous experience within an accountancy practice
Strong understanding of UK GAAP, tax compliance, and management reporting
Proficient in cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
Excellent communication, organisation, and client-facing skills
Proactive, collaborative, and ambitious with a drive to progress into senior management
