One of Manchester’s top independent Chartered Accountants is looking for an Audit Semi-Senior to join their audit team. This role offers hands-on audit experience, client exposure, mentoring opportunities, and strong career progression in a supportive environment.

Salary & Working Hours

  • Salary: £25,000 - £32,000

  • Location: Manchester

  • Hours: Full-time, permanent

Key Responsibilities

  • Support on-site audits, executing agreed audit plans and managing allocated tasks

  • Ensure audit quality in line with company policies, auditing standards, and best practices

  • Mentor junior audit team members, reviewing work and providing guidance

  • Contribute to audit findings reports, identifying key risks and significant messages

  • Develop strong client relationships, communicating effectively throughout the audit

  • Collaborate across service lines to enhance overall client experience

  • Support team development, sharing knowledge and fostering a positive work environment

  • Pursue continuous professional development, enhancing technical and audit skills

Candidate Requirements

  • ACA or ACCA (part-qualified or studying towards qualification)

  • Previous experience in audit and accounts within a practice

  • Solid understanding of quality and regulatory standards

  • Familiarity with risk assessment and control measures

  • Strong client interaction and communication skills

  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities

  • Technical knowledge of accounting and auditing standards (FRS and IFRS)

  • Experience with CaseWare or CCH beneficial but not essential
