Role Overview
An exciting opportunity for a proactive Client Portfolio Manager to take ownership of a portfolio of clients and ensure the delivery of excellent accountancy, tax and advisory services. You will work closely with partners and senior team members to manage client relationships, deliver technical outputs efficiently and contribute to growth within the Ripon office.
Key Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality accountancy, compliance and advisory service delivery

Act as the primary point of contact for client queries, building trusted, long-term relationships

Work with clients to understand business needs and provide commercial, proactive advice

Liaise with internal teams to coordinate delivery of accounts, tax and business advice services

Oversee statutory accounts preparation, management accounts and compliance deliverables (as relevant)

Support onboarding of new clients and transition work smoothly into the practice

Monitor client service levels and identify opportunities to enhance service offerings

Contribute to client retention and growth strategies, including cross-service referrals

Assist in developing internal processes that improve workflow and client experience
Ideal Candidate Profile

Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / equivalent) or strong qualified-by-experience with a practice background

Proven experience managing client relationships in an accountancy practice environment

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport at all levels

Commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities for client and firm growth

Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage priorities effectively

Experience with cloud accounting systems and digital tools advantageous
