Senior Accountant
Hours: Full-Time, Permanent (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 + Commission Pay & Performance Bonus
Location: Hybrid role in Widnes
Company Overview: A rapidly growing accountancy practice and so they're looking for an experienced accountant to work with the existing team of bookkeepers, payroll specialists and administrators looking after a portfolio of around 200 Limited Companies. They're offering a starting salary of £35-£40k.
They are fully flexible on hours/days - they focus on deadlines, not 9-5. Their current team choose their own days and times that they work to fit around their personal lives.
Duties:
Preparing Accounts for Limited Companies under FRS 105 and 102
Preparing Corporation Tax Returns
Preparing and filing self-assessments
Handling queries from clients
Completing VAT Returns
Assisting with Management Accounts for smaller clients
Responsibility for a portfolio of clients
Assisting with the training and development of less experienced members of staff
Required skills and experience:
A minimum of 3 years’ practice experience
Experience of using Xero is essential as it’s their predominant software
Ability to process and submit:
VAT Returns
Self-Assessments
Corporation Tax Returns and Year End Accounts
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Experience of other cloud-based software e.g. Client Manager, FreeAgent, Practice ignition, QuickBooks.
Experience within the hospitality, ecommerce, construction sectors an advantage.
Knowledge of payroll. You won’t be required to process payroll, but a knowledge of this area is advantageous although not essential
AAT L4, QBE or equivalent
