Role Overview
The Senior Accountant will take responsibility for a portfolio of clients, preparing accounts and tax submissions while supporting junior staff where needed. You will work closely with colleagues to deliver high-quality client service and contribute to the ongoing success of the practice.
Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of clients, including Sole Traders, Limited Companies, and Partnerships
Prepare and submit year-end accounts
Prepare and submit Corporation Tax computations
Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
Assist with mentoring or reviewing junior staff work as needed
Build strong client relationships and ensure service exceeds expectations
Candidate Requirements
Minimum 4 years’ experience in an accountancy practice
Strong knowledge of accounts preparation, corporation tax, and VAT
Excellent communication and client management skills
Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently
ACA/ACCA qualification desirable but not mandatory
