An established independent accountancy practice in Leicester is looking to recruit a Tax Semi Senior or Tax Senior to support its growing tax function. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional with practice experience who is looking to broaden their technical exposure and progress towards chartered status.
The role can be tailored depending on experience and interest, offering exposure to mixed tax (personal and corporate), although candidates specialising in personal tax or corporation tax will also be considered.
The Role
You will work closely with senior members of the tax team, managing your own workload while contributing to a varied and interesting client portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation and review of personal and/or corporate tax returns
Managing tax compliance for a portfolio of owner-managed businesses and individuals
Supporting advisory and planning work, including income tax, corporation tax, and capital gains tax
Liaising directly with clients and HMRC to resolve queries
Assisting with tax computations and disclosures
Supporting managers and partners with ad-hoc tax projects
About You
ATT or AAT qualified, with ambition to progress to ACA and/or CTA
Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice tax role
Exposure to personal tax, corporate tax, or mixed tax
Strong attention to detail and good technical understanding
Confident communicator with a professional approach to client service
Organised, proactive, and keen to develop long-term within practice
