Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Practice | £40,000-£75,000 DOE| Redditch, Worcestershire

Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
Salary: £40,000 - £75,000
Hours: Full-time (4-day week) or part-time considered
Weekends: 1 in 5 weekends + 1 Saturday morning in 5
OOHs: No overnight on-call, weekends until 6pm
Holidays: 5 weeks annual leave + bank holidays (or lieu day if worked)

About the Role

As part of the busy, well-equipped practice, you’ll work alongside an experienced and supportive clinical team. Your day will include a mix of consultations, surgery, and client communication — with time dedicated to ongoing development and collaboration.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough examinations and diagnose health issues in small animals
     
  • Perform routine and emergency surgeries with confidence
     
  • Administer anaesthesia and monitor patients during procedures
     
  • Develop tailored treatment plans and prescribe medications appropriately
     
  • Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold high professional standards
     
  • Collaborate with RVNs, fellow vets, and support staff to ensure smooth daily operations
     
  • Stay up to date with developments in veterinary medicine — with CPD fully encouraged and supported
