Location: Lancaster / Morecambe, Lancashire
Hours: Full-time (36 hours per week) – fixed day off each week
Salary: Up to £65,000 DOE

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon seeking a veterinary surgeon job in Lancaster or Morecambe, Lancashire.

About the Practice
The practice operates across multiple RCVS-accredited small animal sites, including a central 24-hour hospital facility, offering a full range of services from routine care to advanced diagnostics and surgery.
They are equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including CT imaging, digital radiography, and advanced surgical facilities.
The wider team includes experienced veterinary surgeons, nurses, and support staff, with a strong focus on clinical excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
A commitment to continuity of care, including in-house out-of-hours provision, ensures a high standard of patient and client experience.
Responsibilities
Delivering a balance of consultations and routine surgical procedures
Providing high-quality clinical care to a varied small animal caseload
Working collaboratively with veterinary surgeons, nurses, and support staff
Contributing to continuity of care, including out-of-hours responsibilities
Participating in a 1:10 weekend rota (daytime only)
Participating in a 1:10 out-of-hours rota (7 nights on call, no daytime work aside from Saturday morning)
Supporting clinical standards and maintaining excellent client relationships
Engaging in ongoing professional development and clinical improvement
Candidate Profile
RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon
Minimum of 2 years’ UK small animal experience
Confident in routine surgical procedures and consultations
Friendly, approachable, and a strong team player
Keen to maintain a balanced caseload of consults and surgery
Interest in medicine or further qualifications (desirable but not essential)
Committed to delivering high standards of patient and client care
