A well-established small animal veterinary hospital in Lisle, IL is seeking a Part-Time Associate Veterinarian to join a collaborative and experienced clinical team. The practice is equipped with advanced diagnostic technology, including an in-house IDEXX laboratory suite, digital radiography, digital dental radiography, ultrasound, and both therapeutic and surgical lasers. Veterinarians benefit from separate dental and surgical suites and a 2:1 technician-to-doctor ratio, allowing doctors to focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive physical examinations and medical workups for companion animals

  • Provide surgical, dental, and diagnostic care while maintaining high medical standards

  • Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative care

  • Maintain accurate medical records and follow regulatory protocols for medications and controlled substances

  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians, support staff, and hospital leadership to ensure smooth hospital operations

  • Monitor hospitalized cases and participate in daily patient care discussions when appropriate

Candidate Profile

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) from an accredited institution

  • Licensed (or eligible) to practice veterinary medicine in Illinois

  • DEA registration or willingness to obtain

  • Strong diagnostic, surgical, and dental skills

  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills

  • Collaborative team player with a positive and professional approach

  • Open to both new graduate and experienced veterinarians
