Location: Halesowen, Birmingham, West Midlands  
Salary: £50,000 - £75,000 depending on experience  
Contract: Full Time, On Site  

A forward-thinking and rapidly growing accountancy and business advisory firm is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Manager or Senior Manager to join its established audit and accounts team. The Role 

Working closely with Directors and senior leadership, you will take responsibility for managing a varied client portfolio while overseeing the delivery of high-quality audit and accounts services. 

Key responsibilities include: 

  • Managing and developing your own portfolio of audit and accounts clients 

  • Planning, managing and delivering audit and statutory accounts engagements from start to finish 

  • Working closely with Directors to identify opportunities to add value and provide proactive advice 

  • Acting as a trusted adviser and main point of contact for clients 

  • Building strong, long-term client relationships across a diverse range of sectors 

  • Coaching, mentoring and developing audit seniors and trainees 

  • Ensuring high technical standards, efficiency, and excellent client service throughout all assignments 

About You 

  • ACA or ACCA qualified 

  • Currently operating at Audit & Accounts Manager or Senior Manager level within a UK accountancy practice 

  • Experienced in leading audits for owner-managed businesses and SMEs 

  • Technically strong with a good understanding of UK accounting and auditing standards (FRS 102 / UK GAAP) 

  • Confident managing teams and motivating others 

  • Commercially aware with strong client relationship and communication skills 

  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced, and growth-focused environment 

  • Technically capable, with experience of modern audit and accounts software (CCH experience beneficial but not essential)
