Role Overview
An excellent opportunity for a qualified Audit Senior to join a growing audit team supporting clients across Yorkshire and surrounding regions. This role offers strong progression prospects, exposure to a wide variety of audit engagements and the chance to take increasing responsibility within a supportive and expanding practice.
Key Responsibilities

Lead audit fieldwork teams, including planning and budgeting assignments prior to commencement

Complete audit work on key risk areas in line with professional and internal standards

Prepare statutory financial statements (primarily UK GAAP) and draft tax computations

Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries, escalating complex matters where appropriate

Review work prepared by trainees, ensuring quality and readiness for manager/director review

Coach and develop junior team members, providing constructive feedback and guidance

Ensure internal and external deadlines are consistently met

Maintain the firm’s quality assurance and compliance procedures

Assist with billing processes and oversight of recoveries

Identify opportunities for additional services and contribute to business development initiatives

Support marketing activity and begin developing an external professional network
Ideal Candidate Profile
-
ACA or ACCA qualified
-
Proven experience planning and leading external audits within an accountancy practice
-
Strong technical knowledge, including FRS 102 (Charities SORP experience advantageous)

Confident client-facing professional with excellent communication skills

Strong time management and organisational capabilities

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint
-
Experience with audit software (MyWorkpapers desirable)
