The Role

  • Opportunity for a qualified Audit Senior to join a growing audit team covering clients across North and West Yorkshire

  • Flexible office base with regular travel to client sites

  • Clear progression pathway to Audit Manager within a supportive and expanding firm

  • Exposure to a varied client portfolio across multiple sectors

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead audit fieldwork assignments from planning through to completion

  • Plan, budget, and deliver audit assignments within agreed deadlines

  • Complete audit testing on key risk areas and resolve client queries

  • Review work prepared by junior staff and provide constructive feedback

  • Prepare statutory financial statements under UK GAAP

  • Draft corporation tax computations where required

  • Maintain high standards of client service and technical compliance

  • Assist with billing, recoveries, and engagement management

  • Identify opportunities for additional services and support business development

  • Build and maintain professional networks to support firm growth

Candidate Profile

  • ACA or ACCA qualified

  • Experience planning and leading external audits within an accountancy practice

  • Strong knowledge of FRS 102; exposure to Charities SORP advantageous

  • Confident in a client-facing role with strong communication skills

  • Able to manage deadlines and multiple assignments effectively

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with audit software desirable

  • Motivated by progression and professional development
