Role Summary – Semi Senior / Senior Accountant (Cardiff)
As a Semi Senior / Senior Accountant, you will work directly with clients and senior management, delivering high-quality accounting support. You’ll lead key client responsibilities, help develop junior staff, and contribute to the continued success of the practice.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare annual statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders

Draft corporation tax computations

Provide bookkeeping support and work with cloud accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
-
Communicate directly with clients, ensuring deadlines are met and queries are resolved
-
Prepare management accounts and financial reports
-
Mentor and guide junior team members
-
Review accounts prepared by team members
-
Support wider team on advisory and ad-hoc assignments
-
Report on client files in preparation for client meetings
Skills and Experience They’re Looking For
-
ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience
-
Previous practice experience in a UK accountancy firm is desirable

Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail

Familiarity with good accounting and regulatory practice

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Confidence using cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)

Experience with IRIS Suite desirable but not essential

Good MS Office skills
-
Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple client deadlines

Positive attitude and strong team player
