Semi-Senior / Senior Accountant Role Overview - Practice Accounting Jobs Nottingham
This role is perfect for a candidate with practice accounting experience who wants responsibility, variety, and the chance to contribute to all stages of client service delivery. You will handle accounts preparation, tax compliance and bookkeeping support while working closely with managers and partners.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review statutory accounts and management accounts

Support corporate and personal tax compliance and advisory work

Maintain and review client bookkeeping records

Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and liaise with HMRC

Assist with payroll and related compliance requirements

Provide high-quality client communication and support

Collaborate with senior team members on ongoing projects

Client and Service Exposure

Experience and Qualifications Required

Previous accounting practice experience

Strong understanding of accounts preparation and tax compliance

Experience with bookkeeping and payroll desirable

Excellent communication skills and client awareness

AAT / ACA / ACCA qualified or qualified by experience

Ability to take initiative and deliver accurate work to deadlines
