Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) – Ellesmere Port, Cheshire
About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse in Ellesmere Port to join a forward-thinking, purpose-driven organisation. This is a full-time, permanent position working 40 hours per week across 4 days, offering an excellent work-life balance alongside a highly varied clinical caseload.
This role is ideal for an RVN looking to fully utilise their nursing skills, working across a diverse range of cases within a modern hospital environment. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care while supporting accessibility to veterinary services.
Salary: Up to £33,000
Location: Ellesmere Port, Cheshire
Schedule: 40 hours per week, 4-day week, 1 in 4.5 weekends (approx. 2:9 rota)

This is a 24/7 veterinary hospital in Ellesmere Port, supported by a dedicated out-of-hours team, ensuring continuous patient care. The practice is modern and exceptionally well-equipped, offering exposure to a broad and interesting caseload.

Responsibilities
Deliver high standards of inpatient and outpatient nursing care
Assist with surgical procedures and anaesthesia monitoring
Support diagnostics including imaging and laboratory work
Provide client education and communication with empathy and clarity
Maintain accurate clinical records
Work collaboratively with the wider clinical team
Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the hospital
Candidate Profile
Qualified and RCVS-registered Veterinary Nurse
Previous experience in a busy clinical or hospital setting
Strong clinical skills across anaesthesia, inpatient care, and procedures
Excellent communication and organisational abilities
A team player with a proactive and positive attitude
Passion for animal welfare and accessible veterinary care
