About the Role

We are representing a friendly independent small animal practice that is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their supportive clinical team. Flexible working options are available, with both full-time and part-time hours considered.

This role offers a well-balanced caseload with no out-of-hours commitment, making it ideal for a vet seeking strong work–life balance while remaining clinically engaged.

About the Practice

The practice carries out the majority of surgical procedures in-house, supported by a visiting orthopaedic surgeon for more complex referral-level cases. The team works collaboratively to deliver high standards of patient care in a well-organised and welcoming environment.

In addition to clinical work, the role includes occasional front-of-house support and stock management, contributing to the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducting consultations and managing medical cases

  • Performing routine and soft tissue surgical procedures

  • Working alongside visiting specialists for complex cases

  • Supporting patient care from admission through discharge

  • Providing clear and compassionate client communication

  • Assisting with occasional stock control and practice support duties

  • Participating in the shared Saturday rota

About You

  • RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon

  • Confident in general practice medicine and surgery

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Organised, adaptable, and client-focused

  • Open to full-time or part-time working arrangements
