The Opportunity

An independent small animal practice in Wolverhampton is looking to recruit a Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team. This role is open to both full-time and part-time candidates and offers a varied, hands-on clinical caseload within a modern and well-equipped environment.

This position would suit a Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys general practice, values continuity of care, and is looking to work within an independent setting that prioritises patient welfare, collaboration, and flexibility.

The Role

This is a first-opinion small animal Veterinary Surgeon role with a good balance of consulting and surgery. You will be encouraged to work cases up properly and practice a high standard of medicine and surgery, supported by an experienced nursing and support team.

The rota includes a 1 in 4 weekend commitment, allowing for a healthy work–life balance during the week. Flexible working patterns are available, making this role suitable for a range of experience levels and personal circumstances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality veterinary care to small animal patients

  • Perform routine and more complex consultations and procedures

  • Manage a varied medical and surgical caseload

  • Build strong relationships with clients through clear communication

  • Work collaboratively with nurses and support staff

  • Maintain accurate clinical records and uphold best practice standards
